Website design for a live-action roleplaying group named "Encrucijada", from Alicante.
For this design, I tried to use a very basic and traditional website design, easy to understand and navigate. Users had to acces a big amount of information from this page (rules, factions, story...), so it was very important that information was clearly paced withing the website (that´s also one of the reasons why the navigation bar has so many buttons). Other live action rolepaying groups have a serious and adult theme, but in this case, the group wanted to appeal to a wide audience, avoiding themes such as blood or violence, that could scare some parents away. For this reason, this website´s design had to be medieval but at the same time suitable for all audiences, so I opted for an aesthetic inspired by the game "hearthstone", slightly simplified.
Most of the elements are modular, so it is possible to create buttons, borders and decorations of several sizes very quickly and easily. Here´s an example of those modular elements:
In the end, the group managers decided to use Wordpress instead of this Html&CSS based design, since the latter is easier to administrate and use. Their website can be found here.
Despite not being able to finish it, I learned quite a lot with this project; and I still have all the files I used to create the website. I hope that, in the future, I will be able tu use them, maybe on a game.
